Marietta local claims mysterious woman in period clothing vanished from his porch
Marietta, Ga. -- It was around 2:38 p.m. yesterday when Marietta local Paul Firment heard a strange knock at the door. He never could have guessed what would happen next.
Firment answered the door to find what he described as a young woman dressed in 19th century apparel. According to the witness, she reached out, firmly grasped his hand, and asked "Where is Marie?"
"She looked like she had been dropped off from another time period," Firment commented. When asked if the garb could have merely been a costume, the witness simply shook his head in disbelief.
Firment politely told the woman he didn't know of anyone named Marie and the suspect allegedly disappeared instantaneously.
"I have no explanation for what I saw," Firment said. "If I hadn't touched her, I would have thought she was a ghost."
This is the second report of a woman in 19th century clothing wandering the city of Marietta. According to eye witness reports, she is roughly 5'6 with brown hair and hazel or brown eyes.
The witness of this incident not currently believed to have any degree of mental illness or history of blackouts.
